Fees

Fees are the remuneration for the services provided by a lawyer. Since January 1, 2014, lawyers are subject to VAT, and we must apply 21% VAT on fees and expenses. The determination of fees is clearly and transparently agreed upon at the beginning of the collaboration.

There are two possibilities regarding billing:

a) Hourly Rate
Fees may vary depending on the complexity and urgency of the case as well as the level of specialization of the lawyer in charge. Unless expressly agreed otherwise, fees are always based on the following hourly rates (excluding VAT): 125 – 300 EUR per hour.

b) Flat Fees
In consultation with the client, flat fees can be established or a volume discount may be granted. Subscription formulas are also possible in mutual agreement. In this case, no hourly rate is applied.

c) Costs
Court fees (cost of summons, roll fees, court expert, etc.) and other third-party costs (technical consultant, translator, mortgage extract, etc.) are settled directly by the client or advanced by the firm and billed to the client at cost price.

The firm applies a fixed administrative fee of 7% on each invoice. This amount covers office expenses and facilities such as furnishings, utilities, computer usage, and software, as well as the use of photocopiers. Additionally, it includes the physical and digital creation, storage, management, and archiving of files, as well as communication via phone, email, and other digital means, along with printing and copying.
